usage instructions and warnings for flame resistant cotton fabrics!
Valid from 1 January 2014
Unless expressly noted otherwise, cotton fabrics marked flame retardant (hardly flammable) are treated with a semi-permanent flame retardant. This means that as long as the material is not soaked or washed, the flame retardant characteristics will persist. Therefore, soaking or washing will cause the loss of fire retardant characteristics. Flame retardant characteristics can be maintained through professional dry cleaning without stain removing agents and a low proportion of water. It is mandatory to carry out tests after dry cleaning.
instructions and warnings for "sprinkler compatibility"!
Effective from 1 September 2024
1. Assessment of sprinkler suitability
The assessment of "sprinkler suitability" is carried out by Tüchler based on tests conducted according to the VdS guideline, showing that neither significant changes in water distribution nor delays in water penetration are caused.
2. Guidelines for using the material under fire suppression systems (sprinklers)
2.1 There are no known EN, DIN, ÖN, or other standards that have internationally recognized validity regarding the assessment of sprinkler suitability of materials.
2.2 In Germany, there may be requirements from insurance institutions (VDS). However, these are not required for every venue or trade show and have no legal basis outside Germany.
2.3 Check local regulations before using the material!
2.4 Have the material approved by local authorities before use!
2.5 Complaints or claims for damages arising from the "non-approval" of materials marked by Tüchler as "sprinkler suitable" in any form are excluded.
