The main curtain of the City Theatre Ratingen was sewn from stage velour LEHAR, from the inherently flame-retardant polyester fibre Trevira CS. In order to make the main curtain light-tight against the stage-side stray light, it was backfed with satin SUNLIGHT. The main curtain consists of two parts with the finished dimensions of 7.70 x 7.05m each with 100% fullness.
The soffitte [14m x 1.5m, dark blue] and two side scarves [7.10 x 1.4m, black] for masking the portal complete the picture.
